DANG LAW GROUP
Zach Zapata is a trial attorney and Litigation Manager at Dang Law Group, where he leads the firm’s litigation practice. A dedicated courtroom advocate who devotes 100% of his practice to litigation and trial work, Zach has recovered more than $15 million for his clients and taken eight jury trials to verdict.

DANG LAW GROUP
A native of McAllen, Texas, Zach earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from St. Mary’s University in 2011 and his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2017.
Before law school he worked as a paralegal at Fulbright & Jaworski, and in San Antonio he dedicated time to assisting indigent clients at the Center for Legal and Social Justice — early experiences that shaped his commitment to representing people who are outmatched by the institutions on the other side of a case.

Licensed in Texas in 2018, Zach began his career in the Rio Grande Valley representing injury victims at The Law Offices of Ezequiel Reyna, Jr., then at Thomas J. Henry Law, P.C., before joining Dang Law Group in September 2020. Today, as Litigation Manager, he manages a full caseload while mentoring the firm’s attorneys, building litigation templates and systems, and working alongside pre-litigation staff on treatment management — resolving roughly 30 cases a year.
His practice spans the full range of serious injury work handled by an Austin personal injury attorney, including commercial vehicle litigation, wrongful death, premises and product liability, insurance bad faith, Jones Act and maritime claims, and breach of contract.

Whether on the road, highway, streets, or any type of collision, Dang Law Group is here to help if you were injured or have damage to your property as a result of a car accident.
These types of accidents can have more severe consequences due to the size and weight of these large vehicles. We are the legal experts who can help victims with legal services without our clients paying directly out of pocket.
As large vehicles, sometimes with double trailers or heavy loads that are difficult to handle, 18-wheeler trucks can cause serious accidents, as well as spills or cargo falling on the road, increasing the possibility of causing a multiple-vehicle accident.

Zach’s willingness to take cases all the way to a jury is what sets him apart. Selected results include:
Much of this work has come as an Austin truck accident attorney, taking on trucking companies and their insurers in cases where liability is contested and the stakes are high. An excess verdict — a jury award above the defendant’s policy limits — is a result insurers work hard to avoid, and Zach has secured several.
Past results do not guarantee future outcomes. Each case is evaluated on its own facts.

DANG LAW GROUP
As Litigation Manager, Zach’s role extends beyond his own cases. He sets the standards and systems that every litigated case at Dang Law Group follows — from pleadings and discovery templates to how pre-litigation staff coordinate medical treatment so a case is trial-ready from day one.
A straightforward collision and a complex commercial trucking claim go through the same process: every file is prepared as though it will be tried.

DANG LAW GROUP
Zach is admitted to the State Bar of Texas (2018). He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Hidalgo County Bar Association, and the McAllen Chamber of Commerce.

DANG LAW GROUP
A native Spanish speaker with professional fluency, Zach represents Spanish-speaking clients directly — without an interpreter between him and the people he serves. Como abogado de accidentes en Austin, atiende a sus clientes directamente en español.
For many families across Central and South Texas, that means their attorney understands not just their case, but their story. His roots in the Rio Grande Valley and his involvement with the Hidalgo County Bar Association and McAllen Chamber of Commerce keep him connected to the communities where his career began.

DANG LAW GROUP
Zach believes that the best settlements come from being ready to try the case. Insurance companies know which attorneys will go to verdict, and that reputation is leverage for every client he represents — whether he is working as an Austin wrongful death attorney for a grieving family or holding a negligent property owner accountable.
Outside the office, Zach enjoys running, basketball, and reading, and treasures time with his wife, Luzardy.

With eight jury verdicts and more than $15 million recovered, Zach Zapata and the Dang Law Group litigation team are ready to take your case as far as it needs to go. Contact us for a free, confidential consultation — no fee unless we win.
